Thousands of years ago, the ancient Israelites told the story of Jacob, who wrestled with an angel and came away wounded, but blessed.  Today we’ll explore what Jacob’s story has to teach us as this battered, resilient country wrestles with a resurgence of deep, old patterns of violence.  What collective blessing might there be in this struggle, even now?
