New beginnings start with hope.  Martin Luther King Jr. wrote, “Everything that is done in this world is done by hope.”  He described hope not as an estimate of probability but as a “moral discipline.”  Hope can be challenging in times like these.  While we don’t want to be uninformed, or in denial about the state of our world, neither do we want to be paralyzed by fear and despair.  To work for change, we need the energy and stamina of hope.  UUFSCC Member, Susan Springfield, will explore ways we can support each other in finding, cultivating and practicing hope.
