The Astronomer, Carl Sagan famously said that as humans, “…we are all star stuff,” referencing the fact that the atomic elements within our bodies were once forged in the cores of ancient stars. What an awe-inspiring beginning we had, long, long ago! In the Jewish faith, we are now in the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, which are known as the Days of Awe. The Days of Awe invite us to reflect on life cycles, endings, and beginnings. This service, led by Rev. Esther Wallace, invites us to dwell for a little while in the awe of beginnings and to remember that we are indeed star stuff!
