We are rightly suspicious of the very notion of power as it is now being wielded tyrannically at the national level.\u00a0 But there are gentler forms of power that are mutual and co-operative, that do not work by coercion or domination.\u00a0 Centering love in our thinking leads us live and act with a kind of relational power that may be grounded in the ultimate nature of reality, whether we call it \u201cGod,\u201d the \u201cSpirit of Life,\u201d the \u201cInterdependent Web,\u201d \u201cBeauty, Truth, and Goodness,\u201d or just the nameless mystery.<\/p>\n
