This means we affirm and include people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer at every level of congregational life\u2014in worship, in program, and in social occasions\u2014welcoming them as whole people.<a href=\"http:\/\/198.57.151.206\/~uufscc\/testbed\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/welcoming-congregation.jpg\"><br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a Welcoming Congregation we have pledged to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>honor the lives of all people and equally affirm displays of caring and affection without regard for sexual orientation.<\/li>\n<li>celebrate diversity by using inclusive language and content in worship.<\/li>\n<li>incorporate an understanding of the experience of lesbian, gay, bisexual, \u00a0transgender, and queer persons throughout all of our programs, including religious education.<\/li>\n<li>affirm and celebrate lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer issues and history.<\/li>\n<li>affirm marriage equality and conduct same-sex weddings.<\/li>\n<li>advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people, promoting justice, freedom, and equality in the larger society.
