The month of November offers great opportunities to come together and
worship. Terra Collier-Young will lead a service on Pilgrimage, we’ll be
grateful for the services of Veterans and the possibilities for peace, we’ll
be counting and creating blessings and welcoming new members. What is it to
belong and how does authority figure in our lives? We will look into
questions about the meaning of Spiritual Growth and Social Justice through
Appreciative Inquiry. Thanks to our wonderful choir and our music director
there will be inspiring and beautiful music to share. On the final
“Thanksgiving” Sunday of the month join us in creating our community
together at the Gratitude Café.”
This winter kindred spirits support our spiritual growth and promote social
justice. On January 29, we celebrate Imbolc, the midpoint between winter
solstice and spring equinox, with lots of music. On February 12, Rev. Phil
Schulman will lead with the heart for Valentine¹s Day followed by our
celebration of Mardi Gras and the Festival life on February 19., And on the
26th, lay leaders will share the difference our congregation is making in
raising awareness of modern slavery. On most Sundays, services are led by
Reverend Pallas Stanford, with help from lay leaders.
